Football student manager passes away after battle with leukemia

Michel’Le Daughtry, a junior psychology major and student manager with the football team, passed away on March 22 after battling acute myeloid leukemia since July, 2008, a statement from Temple athletics said.

Daughtry, who also went by “Misha” had been with the team since her freshman year and during the 2009 season, the team honored her by wearing pink decals with her initials on the sides of the player’s helmets.

She is survived by her mother, Yonne Daughtry, her aunt and uncle Daraina and Al-Quaddir Vines and her three younger sisters Eva, Kayla, and Jahida Daughtry.
