23 seasons in, ‘The Real World’ still wants you

The Real World is hosting an open casting call for its 23rd season on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Raven Lounge (1718 Sansom St.) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This time, though, producers are looking for a particular type of applicant:

“We’d love to include a person who is physically challenged, an individual struggling with weight issues, someone whose family or themselves are dealing with the immigrant-to citizenship process, an individual who is coming out of the foster care system, someone who is currently grieving over the loss of a spouse or significant other, or a cast member who wants to bring the spotlight of The Real World to a cause or social issue they care deeply about.”

All others may apply, as well. Have a headshot ready.

M. Night Shyamalan apparently wasn’t happy at the first open audition, so he’s doing it again.

THE LAST AIRBENDER Casting Call

Check out the flyer here.

All ethnicities and ages are encouraged. (Sounds like a Craigslist ad gone bad.)

The call is for Shyamalan’s next movie, The Last Airbender. Apparently, it just cast Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel, so I’m thinking Shyamalan is having a sixth sense that this movie could actually be successful.

M. Night Shyamalan wants you

M. Night Shyamalan is back. And now, he wants you.

His next movie, The Last Airbender, is being filmed in and around Philadelphia, much like every other movie he’s created, for good or bad.

The casting crew is looking for people from the Philadelphia area for the movie. This could be your big break. Let’s just hope the script is better than The Happening.
