Right now at the bell tower f’real. milkshakes are giving everyone free shakes and other cool prizes. The shake machine is completely digital so customers select on a computer what kind of shake they would prefer and like magic it reveals. Although, I’m confused to why they are promoting their milkshakes in the fall.

This Friday Temple Students for Justice in Palestine held an open mic at Clark Park for a night of music, comedy, food and hookah. This is the organizations first event of the year and the turn out was huge.
Mary Kay cosmetics, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan magazine stopped by the SAC today to give makeovers for their Fall Into Your Beauty Tour. Students lined up to get free makeovers, makeup kits and advice about their own specific looks. Makeovers will be held until 4pm today.

The world’s newest country, South Sudan, has issued its currency, the South Sudan pound, after announcing it this past July. Though the switch was successful, there are still concerns, including $1 billion worth of currency that was obtained before the split. When South Sudan asked officials in Khartoum to switch the currency in replacement for U.S. dollars, North Sudan declared it would be switching its currency as well. Officials of both North and South Sudan will be meeting in Ethiopia for further discussion on how to approach the situation.
