A favorite beverage of The Temple News newsroom, Snapple is the latest product to try some kind of redesign this year to freshen things up and…I guess, make people buy more of them, based on their fondness of a new label. I’m not quite sure about this logic.
But anyway, there are some clear and obvious differences between the Snapple bottle of old and the new-look Snapple bottle.
The new bottles are slightly thinner. They’re also noticably less exciting than the old bottles, which still confuses me as far as how this will help generate more sales. The most prominent change, in my opinion, is that the bottles no longer have the easily recognizable, traditional Snapple logo font. This familiar font has been scratched for a completely boring, serif font. This is probably the stupidest thing Snapple could have done.
At least it’s not quite as bad as Pepsi’s redesign.
