The man who delivered the Metro papers to the Student Center this morning said he was giving us “more than usual, because Temple’s on the cover.”
Guess he didn’t read the headline: “Temple, Penn on list of ‘most dangerous.‘”
According to a Daily Beast report, the University of Pennsylvania ranks No. 16 among the most dangerous campuses. Temple is one step behind at No. 15. The rankings were based off three years of crime statistics among 458 universities. Check out the Daily Beast findings here as well as how they conducted the rankings here. Overall, the amount of campus crime went down from the previous years’ studies. The Top 3 most dangerous campuses were as follows: 1. Tufts University 2. Harvard University 3. Rutgers University.
Though the Metro reported, “Students say they feel safe,” there was only one UPenn student interviewed. Maybe Temple was too scary for anyone to venture down North Broad to ask us.
So, we’re asking you. Do you feel safe on Main Campus?
