President Ann Weaver Hart was spotted last night walking in Center City, at 17th and Locust Street, doing her best for the safety of the city.
Before 6:45 p.m., Hart, accompanied by an unidentified dark haired woman, was strolling when a late 1990-model black Honda drove south along 17th without its headlights on. Hart repeatedly waved as the driver approached and then passed our university president and her escort on the northwest corner as Hart shouted “lights, lights, lights.” The driver didn’t respond and Hart ambled on, eastbound on Locust. No news on if waving wildly at unknown passing drivers is commonplace at the University of New Hampshire, Hart’s last locale.
