Mustache?

Google images of Fran Dunphy, Temple’s men’s basketball coach and in every image he has a mustache. However, USA Today reported that Fran Dunphy will shave his famed mustache in honor of former player Dionte Christmas’ graduation this Thursday.

Be sure to check out his new look during Temple’s 2011-2012 basketball season. The first home game is scheduled for December 3 against Central Michigan.

Computer Love

You know I’ve been searching for someone
Who can share that special love with me
And your eyes have that glow
Could it be your face I see on my computer screen

Need a special girl (ooh yeah)
To share in my computer world
I no longer need a strategy
Thanks to modern technology

Yep, Zapp & Roger couldn’t have said it any better.

I’m not surprised that you can have a ‘fake girlfriend’ via the Internet. The service called fakegirlfriend.co, is a REAL service that will have your ‘ digital girlfriend’ call AND text you! I’m not sure about most people, but to me it seems more trouble than it’s worth. But, I am pretty sure many people will utilize the service out of pure desperation and to receive that attention they crave.

Tow and move derby!

This morning, around 6 a.m. students living on 15th Street between Master Street and Thompson Street were awoken to a blaring loud speaker announcement by the city of Philadelphia to move your car. Around three to four trucks lined the street and began what looked like a move and tow derby. Although signs were posted on light posts to remove parked cars from this area, they weren’t in full view. About five to 10 cars were towed, but the City of Philadelphia spared many residents a headache by moving parked cars to the next block south of Thompson Street, instead of taking them to the lot. I’m not sure what construction is planned, but it’s causing an inconvenience to residents.

In Loving Memory of Roswell Friend

Mural dedicated to Roswell Frind

Just outside Avenue North is a mural dedicated to Roswell Friend. It is a beautiful addition to the plaza and seems to make a cloudy day shine. On Temple’s campus, Friend’s memory will live on forever.

Remembering Roswell Friend, a facebook page dedicated to his memory, displays his profile picture that show’s just how contagious his smile was and will always be.
