Philadelphia celebrated National Coming Out Day today by closing off the gayborhood for Outest. The festival lasted from noon to 6 p.m. with live performances, street vendors and outdoor dance parties.

During this year’s festival Giovanni’s Room a local LGBT bookstore was awarded a historical marker.
